Catholic Character
We believe in the person of Jesus Christ.
We believe in his teachings, as found in the Gospels.
We believe in the inherent dignity of each human person, and their limitless possibilities, further developed by Christ’s Grace and Mary’s Inspiration.
We seek to live out the gospel daily in the way of Mary (the Marist Way).
Our students have identified the following virtues/values as ways of being Catholic and Marist at St Patrick’s College, Silverstream.
Faith is a part of our everyday life and students are encouraged to live out their faith through the sacraments, prayer and service to the community. This is supported by the Religious Education programme that every boy in the College participates in. Learn more about our virtues and values.
The College takes its name from Saint Patrick, the inspirational saint of Ireland, whose feast day we celebrate on 17 March. Over 161 Old Boys have become Priests, including seven who have been consecrated as Bishops. Learn more about our school's extensive history.
Mary was a discerning woman, a woman of courage and active faith. Her life, like those of Marists, was marked by spontaneity and joy, and lived out, actively involved in the broader community. At St Patrick’s Silverstream we endeavour to live our faith every day as Mary did.
